Special inclusive support classrooms have been established across Schools No. 1, 8, 19, 26, 27, 35, 40, and 64, as well as the D. Kunayev Gymnasium and the K. Satpayev School-Lyceum. These facilities were opened thanks to funds raised through the annual Samruk-Kazyna charity event, the Charity Samruk Marathon. Over 600 students—representing nearly 34% of the city’s children with special educational needs—will be able to attend these inclusive classrooms.

In Aktobe, Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Board of the Samruk-Kazyna Fund, and Askhat Shakharov, Akim of the Aktobe Region, visited one of the newly equipped classrooms at the D. Kunayev School-Gymnasium.

The spaces were designed based on an updated concept developed by the Samruk-Kazyna Trust Foundation in collaboration with inclusive education experts. Rather than traditional standalone classrooms, each facility features a modern, open-space layout of at least 60 square meters, allowing children to receive comprehensive support and work with various specialists in one location. The open-space area includes dedicated zones for defectologists, speech therapists, and psychologists, as well as a pottery workshop designed to foster creativity, fine motor skills, and self-expression.

Special emphasis has been placed on physical rehabilitation, with each school featuring a dedicated physical therapy room equipped with modern specialized machinery and athletic gear.

This updated approach goes beyond merely supplying equipment. Throughout the year, educators and specialized personnel will participate in advanced training programs to learn modern techniques and develop tailored strategies for each child. This initiative goes beyond opening new classrooms—it creates a complete, supportive ecosystem that integrates educational, psychological, developmental, physical, and rehabilitation care under one roof.

Additionally, similar inclusive support classrooms opened today across 5 schools in Semey.

All facilities were equipped using funds raised during the Charity Samruk Marathon held on May 3, 2026, in Astana. The event brought together 3,000 participants and received support from over 50 corporate partners, including Halyk Bank, NCOC, KPO, Kazzinc, and others.

Since 2024, the Samruk-Kazyna group of companies, acting through its single charity operator—the Samruk-Kazyna Trust Foundation—has established a total of 46 inclusive support classrooms: 21 in Astana, 10 in Aktobe, and 5 each in Semey, Akmola Region, and Atyrau Region. These facilities collectively serve approximately 3,000 children with special educational needs.

Since 2016, the Samruk-Kazyna Trust Foundation has implemented 32 social projects in the Aktobe Region totaling 4.88 billion KZT. The region currently operates three Qamqorlyq rehabilitation centers, an oncology unit at the Marat Ospanov West Kazakhstan Marat Ospanov Medical University, a creative hub at the S. Zhienbayev Library, and a sports complex in the town of Emba. Additionally, construction of a new sports and health complex is currently underway in Aktobe.
