At the same time, veterans of the Second World War and home front workers born no later than December 31, 1935, can use the services of railway transport for free during 2021.
The campaign operates within the framework of the republican social and charitable project «Zhenis», initiated by the Social Projects Development Foundation «Samruk-KazynaTrust» together with JSC «Passenger Transportation».
According to the terms of the campaign, WWII veterans and home front workers can travel free of charge to all destinations within the Republic of Kazakhstan and the CIS countries. Participants and disabled people of the Second World War are allocated seats in the compartment cars of trains of all categories, including in the cars of the «Tourist» class and specialized compartments for persons with disabilities in the trains of the company «Talgo».
In addition, the trains of JSC "Passenger Transportation" for veterans of the Second World War on the way will be provided with free meals.
The free travel promotion is held on an ongoing basis. To issue tickets for this promotion, you must provide the ticket office with an original identity document and a certificate of a veteran of the Great Patriotic War or a home front worker. When traveling to the CIS countries, free travel documents (tickets) are issued at points of sale located only on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
«We are aware of the fact that there are fewer and fewer veterans of the Great Patriotic War every year. Therefore, this year we have extended the campaign to home front workers of all ages. From May 1 to May 31, 2021, they can purchase railway tickets to all destinations in Kazakhstan and the CIS absolutely free of charge. For veterans and home front workers born no later than December 31, 1935, the promotion is valid throughout the year», -said Miras Irgebayev, Head of Corporate Service-official representative of the Social Projects Development Foundation «Samruk-Kazyna Trust».
Recall that the project «Zhenis» is aimed at providing systematic assistance and social support to veterans of the Second World War and home front workers. Within the framework of the project, volunteers help elderly people with household chores: they clean and carry out minor repairs in the house and in the yard, buy food and medicines, talk to them, and so on. During the 5 years of the project's existence, more than 10,000 volunteer raids were made to veterans and home front workers.
To date, the project is being implemented in 35 locations in Kazakhstan. Full information about the project on the website zhenys.kz. If you have any questions, please contact us by phone: 8 (7172) 24 80 15, Tugzhanova Aiganym, email@example.com
