Special inclusive support classrooms have been established in Public Schools No. 3, 13, 17, 20, and 47. Opened with funds raised through the Charity Samruk Marathon, these spaces will provide support to approximately 300 children with special educational needs across the city.

In Semey, Akim of the city Adlet Kozhanbayev, along with representatives from the Samruk-Kazyna Trust Foundation and members of the public, visited one of the newly opened classrooms at School No. 3.

The classrooms were designed according to a new concept developed by the Samruk-Kazyna Trust Foundation in collaboration with inclusive education experts. Rather than a conventional standalone classroom, each space is a modern, multifunctional open-space environment spanning at least 60 square meters, where children can receive comprehensive assistance and work with multiple specialists simultaneously. The open-space layout includes dedicated zones for defectologists, speech therapists, and psychologists, as well as a pottery workshop to help children foster creativity, fine motor skills, and self-expression.

Physical rehabilitation forms a key component of this new concept. To support this, dedicated physical therapy rooms equipped with modern sports gear and specialized equipment have been set up in the schools.

Furthermore, the project extends beyond creating and equipping physical spaces. Throughout the year, educators and specialized professionals will undergo advanced training to implement modern methodologies and tailor individual approaches for each child.

This initiative establishes a fully integrated inclusive environment within the schools, combining educational, psychological, developmental, and rehabilitation support into a single ecosystem.

In addition to the facilities in Semey, similar classrooms were opened today across 10 schools in Aktobe.

All classrooms were equipped using proceeds raised during the Charity Samruk Marathon, held on May 3, 2026, in Astana. The event drew 3,000 participants and received support from more than 50 corporate partners, including Halyk Bank, NCOC, KPO, Kazzinc, and others.

Since 2024, the Samruk-Kazyna group of companies, acting through its single charity operator—the Samruk-Kazyna Trust Foundation—has established a total of 46 inclusive support classrooms: 21 in Astana, 10 in Aktobe, and 5 each in Semey, Akmola Region, and Atyrau Region. In total, these classrooms serve approximately 3,000 children with special educational needs.

To date, the Samruk-Kazyna Trust Foundation has implemented 18 social projects in the Abai Region totaling 3.4 billion KZT. Construction of a sports and health complex in Semey began this year, and 3 million pine seedlings will be planted in the Semey Ormany nature reserve by the end of the year. Previously, the foundation established two Qamqorlyq rehabilitation centers and a specialized library for the visually impaired in the regional center.
